Survived the war! But not the consequences as his marriage collapsed, my mother thought him dead since 1943 & married an English Soldier. My father died aged 62 in 1976 and his children never really knew him, or him us, as we were taken to England to live. The only people who start wars are always politicians. Careful who YOU vote in.
