No, it is not overreacting...If you hate Hitler, stand up and say it. There is nothing wrong with that. But do not beat about the bush by slandering his name (what little is left of it) with silly jokes and stupid remarks. We should rise above such behaviour. I have enemies too, but I do not lower myself to their level by calling them names.

But he is not alone...and by far not the worst. Stalin and Lenin killed more people than Hitler could dream of. Does everyone cry genocide when speaking about them? I ask you - what is the difference between Russians and Jews? They are both "a people". Why recognise the one and disregard the other? Without Hitler the Jews would never repeat NEVER have achieved such "fame" and recognition as they enjoy today. A few years prior to WW1 there was a war going on is South-Africa: the Boer war. The British did EXACTLY the same to the Afrikaner people than Hitler did to the Jews. Woman and children wasting in concentration camps by thousands. Ok, they did not kill millions because at that time there weren't millions to kill. About 10% of the entire population was wiped out. 50 000 civilians were killed (black and white). 75% of the dead (white) were children under the age of 16. 200 000 British soldiers were sent to fight 25 000 Boers. Did the world cry: "Off with the Queens head!" No. And that is but one of the Britishs empire's many atrocities over a much longer period of time. So the next time you turn to spit in the face of Hitler, think of the long line of killers before and after him. I am not justifying what he did, I am just calling for fairness in judgement. I understand why the Afrikaners had to be slaughtered they way they were, and I understand why the Jews had to be massacred. Some of you do not. But you have to be fair.

Well, Radka, since the Germans did not win the war, I believe killing the Jews as Hitler did partially cost him the victory. He was fighting two wars, splitting his resources, time and energy between fighting the world and fighting the Jews. I believe he should rather have treated the Jews better and used them to fuel his war effort. I mean, how long can you work a horse when you do not nourish and rest it as well? Secondly, I believe Hitler had to kill the Jews - without the holocaust, who would the Jewish people be today? Just a normal nation, nothing special, like the rest. Without Hitler would anti-semitism ever even have existed today? Before WW2 the Jewish were regarded by many people as a destructive and devious nation. Today they are hailed Holy. Without Hitler who would they be? Do you think the Jewish people were the only ones that suffered extreme tortures, hunger, mutilation and death? Why do we acknowledge them but we forget the millions of others that lost their lives and loved ones in the war? Again, I just want to be fair...

Or maybe the Allies and the USSR fought Germany out of concern for the European Jews? C'mon, you know it isn't so. For example, ask any Greek about the German occupation and see if he'll mention the 60,000 Greek Jews who perished almost to a man at Auschwitz; if he'll even know these people ever existed. Well, Duitse does have at least one point, though. Without the Holocaust, Israel would have never had existed - or if it did, not for long. It was this violent explosion of Antisemitism that opened the eyes to the US and UK, that all those Zionist terrorists (and they were terrorists back then) might not be wrong that the Jews need a home-country, somewhere they are welcome and safe. So they allowed them to create (or recreate) and protect Israel. In some ways, the Allied plans for Israel were not so different than Hitler's initial plans for Siberia - a faraway country where they can put all their Jews (for they didn't trust or like them, either) and let them fight for their existence. And, despite many conspiracy theorists it is less because of the outrage of the concentration camps that the US so strongly support Israel - you're expecting too much humanity from them there. The more realistic reason is England's loss of control over the Middle Eastern regions after WW2 - suddenly all those pesky oil rich countries became independent! Israel is Americas largest aircraft carrier and base of Operation in the Middle East, and in return America allows them to slowly pull a genocide on the Palestinians. It is (or depending on Obama's future decisions, was) a symbiotic relationship, not one where the Jews abuse America.

A slow one. Israel, as opposed to Nazi Germany, is in absolutely no hurry to kill the Palestinians in Gas Chambers or whatever. They slowly take away more and more of their country by founding settlements in Palestinian areas and then incorporating those -illegal- settlements into Israel. They have the noose slowly tighten around them, until the Palestinians are either dead or have left the country. But we're getting extremely off topic here. If you want to keep discussing this, how about you jump into the forum, start a thread and/or pm me about it?
